Ash Brown
Ash Beach Brown is beach sand in color on white hair, very light brown on darker white or gray. It is our lightest color and our newest color. It took many years to create a blond that would not just wash out.
Ash brown only works on light-colored hair. It will not make darker colors lighter! If your hair is dark gray, it will not show up very much. White hair will be ash, and darker white will be ash brown.
If you are solid white or blond or used chemical blond, you can use this right over it. Ash Beach Brown has natural conditioners, all made from plants, so it conditions while it colors, leaving your hair soft and shiny. Your hair will feel and look better, and it will grow faster.

TIPS:
Mix ash brown with other browns to create alternate browns or with reds to make them less red.

This packet includes 100 grams (3.5oz) of Ash Brown. Do a skin/hair strand test first. Do not use baby shampoo.
Hair Application:
- Wash hair twice with clarifying shampoo, no conditioner, and towel dry before application. Damp is good. Dry is okay. Do not forget to wear gloves, and cover the floors and clothes!
- ย Mix enough powder with enough warm tap water (about 1 ยผ cup to 1 ยฝ cup per 100 grams) until you get a pudding-like consistency. Use plastic ware โ bowl/spoon.
- Apply to hair starting from the left ear to the right ear, one layer at a time, then work your way down the back in layers, pressing pastedown as you go along. If using a shower cap afterward, be sure to make small holes in the shower cap for air.
- Leave in hair for 1 hour to 1.5 hours, then rinse until the water runs clear (if you have thick or curly hair, you can use a cream conditioner to help rinse, but not recommended for 36 hours). Shampoo hair 18-24 hours later. Not doing so can lead to oxidation (multiple colors).
Beard Application:
Not following these instructions will result in poor results. EarthDye is easy to apply.
- Clean facial hair/sideburns gently with shampoo using a toothbrush or beard brush twice. Do not scrub hard, as this can irritate the skin! Not using a brush will not remove facial oil. Use a brush and shampoo, not baby shampoo!
- Mix enough tap water (do not use distilled or bottled water) to get a thick pudding consistency (mix only what you need and store the remaining powder in a zip-lock bag in a cool, dry place).
Using a plastic spoon or application brush, apply evenly to facial hair until completely covered. Be sure to cover all hairs. If the tips of the hair stick out, it will not be colored, leaving a peppered effect. Leave on for 1 hour and rinse. Shampoo hair 18-24 hours later. Not doing so can lead to oxidation (multiple colors).
Tips: The color will darken overnight. What you see at first is not the final color. Green, at first, is normal. Do not use baby shampoo.
Dye will not permanently stain the face or hairline. If dye is present on the face, it will be gone in several hours.
Oil treatments can prevent browns from working. If doing oil treatments, wash hair three times prior to application with clarifying shampoo. Return to regular shampoo and rinse conditioner.
Our dye works on all races, men, and women. Store unused powder with a zip lock in a cool, dry place.
