Soft Black
Natural Soft black is great for people who have black hair and strands of white or gray, OR people who have gray hair or white hairEarthDye soft black beard dye -1 step process. Natural soft black hair and beard dye are very soft, meaning very light. If you want a 1 step black, we recommend our pure indigo. If you want a “jet black,” we recommend our two-step black. People with gray or white strands of black hair can use this product to blend in coverage doing entire hair. If you have white hair growing in from the roots, it might not be dark enough and might require a second application 24 hours later; for jet black, just add indigo; the more indigo you add, the darker it will become.
EarthDye Soft black beard dye works on all hair types. Lighter-colored hair, such as “white” or “bleached blond,” will need a two-step black or dark brown with pure indigo mixed in to make it black. This is an all-natural plant product with no chemicals, PPD, Ammonia, or metallic salts.

No chemicals mean this color will not lighten your current hair color. This color will turn gray/silver/brown/red hair to a soft black or black shade. Any darker strands of hair will darken to black.
100 grams of powder is enough to do facial hair multiple times, depending on the length and thickness of the hair. If you trim your facial hair weekly, you may have to re-apply once the dyed hair is trimmed. If you keep the hair length, you only need to do touch-ups as the new hair growth becomes noticeable.

Hair Application:
Wash your hair twice with clarifying shampoo, omitting conditioner, and towel dry before application. Towel-dried hair is best, but dry hair is okay. Do not forget to wear gloves and cover the floors and clothes. Only use what you need and store the rest in a cool, dry place, sealed. Powder is good for six months to one year after being opened.
Mix the powder with enough warm tap water (approximately 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups per 100 grams) until you achieve a pudding-like consistency. Apply immediately to the hair, starting from the back to the front in layers, pressing the pastedown as you progress. If using a shower cap afterward, ensure that holes in the shower cap are punctured for airflow.
Leave the product in your hair for 45 minutes to one hour, but no longer than 1.5 hours, and rinse until the water runs clear. If you have thick or curly hair, you can use a cream conditioner to aid in rinsing. Shampoo hair 12 to 24 hours after rinsing.
Beard Application:
Failure to follow these instructions will result in poor results. EarthDye is permanent and easy to apply.
Gently clean facial hair/sideburns with shampoo using a toothbrush or beard brush twice. Avoid scrubbing vigorously, as this can irritate the skin. Not using a brush will not eliminate facial oil, so be sure to use one!
Mix enough tap water (do not use distilled or bottled water) to achieve a thick pudding consistency (only mix what you need and store the remaining powder in a Ziplock bag in a cool, dry place).
Using a spoon or application brush, apply evenly to facial hair until completely covered. Ensure to cover all hairs; if the tips of the hair stick out, they will not be colored, resulting in a peppered effect. Leave on for 45-60 minutes, but no longer than 1.5 hours, and rinse. You can shampoo 12-24 hours later, but no longer than 48 hours.
Tips For Hair And Beard:
Gray or white hair may turn red/green for the first 12 hours, darkening overnight. Dye hair early in the evening.
The dye will not permanently stain the face or hairline. If dye is present on the face, it will fade within several hours.
Oil treatments can prevent browns and reds from working as well. If performing oil treatments, wash the hair three times prior to application.
