Bright Copper Brown
This color will turn gray/white/silver/blonde hair to a sparkling copper brown shade. Any darker strands of hair will become very beautiful shades of true copper giving a multi-tonal coloring.
100 grams of powder is enough to do mid-back length hair in one application. The length of your hair will stay this color, only the new hair growth will need to be touched up as it comes in. Typically hair grows about 1/ 4 inch a month.
No chemicals mean this color will not lighten your current hair color.

HAIR APPLICATION
WASH HAIR TWICE WITH CLARIFYING SHAMPOO, NO CONDITIONER, TOWEL DRY BEFORE APPLICATION. DAMP IS GOOD, DRY IS OK. DO NOT FORGET TO WEAR GLOVES, COVER FLOORS AND CLOTHES!
- MIX POWDER WITH ENOUGH WARM TAP WATER (ABOUT 1 ¼ CUP TO 1 ½ CUP PER 100 GRAMS) UNTIL YOU GET A PUDDING-LIKE CONSISTENCY.
- APPLY IMMEDIATELY TO HAIR STARTING FROM THE BACK TO FRONT IN LAYERS, PRESSING PASTE DOWN AS YOU GO ALONG. IF USING A SHOWER CAP AFTER BE SURE TO MAKE HOLES IN THE SHOWER CAP FOR AIR.
- LEAVE IN HAIR 45 MINUTES, NO LONGER THAN 1.5 HOURS AND RINSE UNTIL THE WATER RUNS CLEAR (IF YOU HAVE THICK OR CURLY HAIR YOU CAN USE A CREAM CONDITIONER TO HELP RINSE.). DO NOT SHAMPOO LESS HAIR THAN 18 HOURS OR WAIT MORE THAN 48 HOURS, 24 IS IDEAL.
NOT FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN POOR RESULTS. EARTHDYE IS PERMANENT AND EASY TO APPLY.
- CLEAN FACIAL HAIR/SIDEBURNS GENTLY WITH SHAMPOO USING A TOOTHBRUSH OR BEARD BRUSH TWICE. DO NOT SCRUB HARD AS THIS CAN IRRITATE SKIN! NOT USING A BRUSH WILL NOT REMOVE FACIAL OIL. USE A BRUSH!
- MIX ENOUGH TAP WATER (DO NOT USE DISTILLED OR BOTTLED WATER) TO GET A THICK PUDDING CONSISTENCY (MIX ONLY WHAT YOU NEED AND STORE THE REMAINING POWDER IN A ZIPLOCK BAG IN A COOL DRY PLACE).
- USING A SPOON OR APPLICATION BRUSH APPLY EVENLY TO FACIAL HAIR UNTIL COMPLETELY COVERED. BE SURE TO COVER ALL HAIRS. IF TIPS OF HAIR STICK OUT, THEY WILL NOT BE COLORED LEAVING A PEPPERED EFFECT. LEAVE ON FOR 35-45 MINUTES (NO LONGER THAN 1 HOUR) AND RINSE. YOU CAN SHAMPOO 12 -24 HOURS LATER. NO LONGER THAN 48 HOURS.
TIPS: GRAY OR WHITE HAIR MAY TURN RED/GREEN FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS, DARKENING OVERNIGHT. DYE HAIR EARLY EVENING.
DYE WILL NOT PERMANENTLY STAIN THE FACE OR HAIRLINE. IF DYE IS PRESENT ON THE FACE IT WILL BE GONE IN SEVERAL HOURS.
OIL TREATMENTS CAN PREVENT BROWNS AND REDS FROM WORKING, IF DOING OIL TREATMENTS WASH HAIR 3 TIMES PRIOR TO APPLICATION.

I’ve been using Copper for 10+ years, and Nic advised me that the new batch was brighter than usual. I used 2/3 Mighty Oak Brown and 1/3 Copper. Love the results! Thank you, Nic!
I was going for a subtle effect, but I don't care for the greenish hue that the subtler henna shades (of any brand) impart for the first 1-2 days, so I tried bright copper brown, mixed 50/50 with cassia obovata. Since the instructions said 45 minutes, I did 5 min and then washed with shampoo (against instructions). This turned the white hair around my face an intense and shiny orangy-auburn color (very pretty, but not what I wanted) while barely coloring the ash brown hair at the back of my head. No green at all though, even right out of the shower, so success there! I improved the color difference by putting pure bright copper just on the ash brown hair at the back of my head and leaving it for 25 min, no shampoo after. This gave a nicer color flow from bright orangy-auburn around my face to a browner but still very auburn color for the rest of my hair. Once I had roots, I mixed 2 teaspoons of Bright Copper Brown with 1/2c cassia obovata, 1tblsp apple cider vinegar, and 1/2c really strong espresso, worked that into my scalp, and left it for 10 min, no shampoo after. Yay, a subtle pale auburn blond on the white hair and a just hint of red on the ash brown hair = the look I was going for. I think if I keep doing the roots like this regularly, I'll get a nice ombre look over time. Thanks Harvest Moon! I knew that if I experimented a bit I'd get a subtle color without the day or two of green at the start.
I don't know why I stopped using henna several years ago, but I'm so happy to have started again. I could not get a nice rich auburn with hair dyes, and this bright copper brown is absolutely beautiful! I used it over previously colored hair and my hair is more shiny after henna than it has been in years. Since I've been coloring over completely gray hair, I usually do the roots brown so my scalp won't look weird. I used the Medium Oak Brown this first time, and I don't feel it darkened the roots enough, so I'll check with customer service on the best path to take - either a darker brown or leave it on longer. I was afraid my hair might look greenish for the first day, but it is a beautiful color right after first rinsing. This is the way for me to keep my hair healthy and beautiful!
I've been using the copperhead brown for 6 years to add my youthful red undertones back to my now drab brown and also cover the greys. Excellent stuff - very fine powder. I don't know if this method works with the other blends, but I apply about 2 tablespoons per week with my shampoo during my shower, instead of all at once, and it works great. The tint shows up after being on about 10 minutes while I'm showering, and because I do it every week, the color stays vibrant and I never have root growout. And their customer service is amazing. I had been dying my delicate blond hair a vibrant red for about 15 years, but one day I suffered a severe allergic reaction to the hair dye. By the end of the day, my face was so swollen my eyes were almost closed. I looked like a monster, and it hurt. A friend took me to an urgent care center, where I received a steroid injection to ensure I didn??t end up in the hospital. I went to my dermatologist??s office the next day and was placed on tablet steroids for ten days, along with a topical steroid that cost $500 per tube! Some mistakes can be very expensive.
Months later I was brave enough to research natural hair dyes, just hoping I would find something. I was surprised (more like delighted) to learn that henna dye would be safe for people who had endured allergic reactions such as mine. From there I found Hennahut and purchased my first products. I??ve been using these products for about ten years now, and I am a ??customer for life.? By mixing several colors I am able to create the exact shade I want, but my favorite now is COPPER TOP. It??s a perfectly warm, natural-looking color for an older blond.

I have been using EarthDye off and on for over a decade. My natural hair is very thin and breaks easily but using earth dye henna has made it become strong, shiny, and thick. Copper brown is a beautiful and natural shade and is one of my favorites because it's not too dark of a brown and it has a nice hint of red!
First of all, my hair stylist recommended this product, and she is both an experienced and credited Vidal Sassoon stylist, but also has a degree in Environmental Science, so when she tells me it was good for my hair and the planet, I believe her!
Secondly, I admit I was a bit scared during the process, as it looks SO dark when applied. But the worry was all for nothing because my hair looks absolutely amazing. It's the perfect shade and it feels healthier than it has in years. It's super soft and my natural curls are intact and bouncy. I will be using this product forEVER!!!
I love the way this henna makes my hair feel (my hairdresser even comments how healthy my hair is). I use 1 pack of copper brown plus 2 more scoops of straight up henna to get my perfect shade of copper. The color is consistent from pack to pack too.

I now buy them regularly in bulk so I don’t have to worry about running out and then just stock up again every quarter. I will never use chemical hair dye again because henna works just as well and is so much better for you. If you don’t like the smell, add a few drops of rosemary and peppermint essential oil into your mix. That’s what I do and it feels amazing on your scalp.

I tried a slightly less expensive brand ONCE, because I could buy it locally, and it was very gritty and felt like I was using a dried herb seasoning packet instead of a fine powder. The color does a perfect job of covering my greys and blending into my natural color, bringing back the reds I had as a kid that have faded with time. I have slightly longer than shoulder length hair, and instead of applying the powder once a month, I apply about 2 tablespoons 1-2 times a week when I'm taking a shower. I just mix it with a bit of water in a cup and add my shampoo to make a pudding consistency, then shampoo my hair with the blend and let that work while I shave, etc. it's on there maybe 5 minutes max. Doing it this way avoids the dreaded root growout, or having to sit with glop on head for an hour when i could be out doing other things. I don't know if the other blends can be applied this way, but it's worked great for me. I love it and the hubby loves that it keeps me looking youthful.

I really like this brand of henna, it is easy to prepare and apply, and it works fast. It's one of the best henna's on the market in my opinion. The color is a very vibrant red ( I chose copper red) and it is permanent - definitely not a wimpy henna. Will buy again; I highly recommend, especially if you're a first time henna user.
