How Much Will One Pack do?
- 1 pack does bra-length thin hair, two packs do mid-back thick hair.
If you have hair to your waist or longer, we recommend mixing it as you go. Save what you do not need in a dry, cool place for touch-ups later. - Short hair mix as little as a half pack and only mix what you need and save the unmixed powder for the next application.

I have used this product for 15 years straight. I couldn’t be happier with the color results and the health benefits of henna as apposed to chemical dye. It is natural looking, covers grey in a way that makes my hair look like I have lighter red highlights. I use natural shampoo and conditioner which prevent the henna from running so much. I always shampoo and conditioner when I apply after 45 mins but then I don’t shampoo for several days. First night I do sleep with a towel on my pillow. Over the next few days it gets brighter and brighter. I also use 1/3-1/2 a packet to touch up roots after about 8 weeks. The color I use is “red red”

I usually do Natural Red followed by indigo to get dark brown on my 75% gray hair and need to touch up y roots every 2-3 weeks. I ordered Red Red by mistake instead of Natural Red and wow--it is BRIGHT. I applied indigo over it and while there is still a lot of red I actually kinda like it--really pretty tone. I may try mixing the two next time. I don't know how long it will last because indigo seems to fade so quickly on my hair. But if you want serious red, use this dye!

Absolutely amazing hair dye! I am blown away at the intense color this gives my basic brown hair - and all from Mother Nature! It is definitely the most fun and healthy way I've found to cover up the silver streaks that were getting me down. I also love how the product makes my thin hair feel so much thicker. I've been experimenting with blending Red Red and Medium Brown in different ratios and the results are also stunning. I need a refresh about every month if I want the color to really pop. I find the color really intensifies if I leave it on for 1.25-1.5hrs. I'm just so happy to have found this - thank you for helping me look and feel amazing. I'll definitely be a lifetime customer. Hot tip: this color can bleed - get a dark pillowcase and you're good to go.

The new directions on the back (mix only with water and leave in for only 1 hour) don't make any sense to me as someone who has been working with henna for body art and hair dye for over 10 years, unless you want a very light stain. I used my usual recipe and it turned out great.
Thanks for your feedback! I have been working with henna art as well since 2004. The directions are not new, they have been the same since 2010. And trust me when I say not all henna is created equal. I am surprised bright red is working for henna tattoos at all, it has a lot of clay in it. Pure henna is the best for that. Henna body art also lasts on the skin for a different amount of time, and applying to the hair. You only need an hour. If you are applying to the skin, then yes, following a special recipe is a good idea. If you have a special recipe, we will certainly share that, and love to hear what you are doing. Most henna artists do not follow the instructions on the back.

Covered my grays really well. I have a lot of hair and one pack didn't cover my lengths enough but I fixed it with a second application. I love how it turned out! My hair is shiny and vibrant and I get compliments from strangers.
